thanks for compiling these. it is distressing there is so much soy and high fructose corn syrup, artificial ingredients and sub-par protein (casein, which is the lowest grade) in these products.

And the MAIN ingredient is fructose, which I find astounding.

The main ingredient is in fact soy protein. By the way where is casein protein in the products? There is a world of information on the importance of blends of proteins for absorption rates and amino profile.

There is no fructose corn syrup in the shakes, soy protein has additional health benefits, containing 4 times the l-arginine and is absorbed more quickly (twice as fast as whey for example). Fructose is low gi and is naturally occuring, in benign quantities is regarded as a safe sweetner as it is 5times as sweet as other sugars requiring less subsequently. Other brands have several different sugars all being main ingredients in meal replacements. Soy protein being the main ingredient in the formula 1. I have been very happy and feel very healthy whilst taking the shakes, my diet is generally very good as a professional athelete.

Richard,
Sometimes you cant help people that want to complain about people being healthy and wealthy….. Sue has no idea what she is talking about and probably works for some nutrition shop and sells product that has aluminum and arsenic in it…. she has no idea that these products are made by Nobel Prize winning doctors and have helped 65 million people reach there goals in 81 different countries. Not to mention Herbalife creates a new millionaire every other day and has a CEO that left Walt Disney to work for Herbalife right after he headed The Lion King……… Ignorance is bliss…..
God Bless

Why do companies claiming to be health companies have Soy and artificial flavourings? So sad how people are being duped.

You can try looking at the labels from this post. If that isn’t answering your question, just call Herbalife directly and ask them. If you’re a distributor you can call directly, if not ask your sponsor to help you with this.

Why would anyone use soy when there are thousands of studies linking soy to malnutrition, digestive distress, immune-system breakdown, thyroid dysfunction, cognitive decline, reproductive disorders and infertility—even cancer and heart disease?

I read the same thing from a tyroid expert. Soy isn’t as healthy as one might believe.

I don’t know the science of nutrition, however, I use around 70% of Herbalife products. I have been using them for going on to a year and honestly… I have never felt more alive and healthy. Coming from someone with a low immune system I have not even been sick since I started on the products. So… GO HERBALIFE!

Hi, this has nothing to do with your article, but I have noticed the picture of the lady, Julie M, above has featured on other websites for another weight loss company and their product. The question that comes to my mind is, did she lose weight on Herbalife, the other weightloss companies product or is she selling her picture?

Wow! Am I the only one who sees it? “Julie M,” right at the top of the page, when I click on it, it takes me to a Nuvoryn website and all their products. So is “healthydiet.com” a Herbalife website or generic?
